The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, with particular emphasis on the Rescue Centre in Athens, rehabilitates sick and injured turtles from around the Mediterranean. The most shocking and common injury is unfortunately deliberate head injuries! The rehabilitation team of only two work hard with their volunteers to ensure the sea turtles are treated correctly and are released back to the sea as soon as they are better.
