The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust rescue and rehabilitate wild orphaned elephants, rhinos and more. They conduct aerial surveillance surveys to prevent illegal activity and support grounds teams, as well as running anti-poaching teams along side a canine unit. They also run community outreach programmes to support local livelihoods and education, teaching communities how to live along side wildlife sustainably. Another aspect of their work is to promote sustainable tourism in the area through eco lodges.
